Our well-being is tied to our wellness. Wellness is taking care of ourselves, something that is often way down on our list of priorities. We are offering a program that can change that.
Weight loss for life is a three month program covering all aspects that constitute healthy living in today’s world. We will, in a sequential approach, cover goal setting, time management, exercise and meal planning. We feel that trying to achieve success in all areas of wellness at the same time leads to a domino effect of failure; when we falter in one area it creates stress that affects all areas negatively.
We will take the approach of creating better habits in one area then moving on to the next. Certainly there are some common threads throughout yet we look at those specific to our current focus.
We will first measure where we are and how we got there. Then we will institute Phase 1 which will focus on exercise and the time management and prioritization necessary to achieve consistency. Exercise will include strength training, cardio, injury management as well as a mental resource management. Next we will focus on nutrition and meal planning. The goal here is not to diet but to gradually develop a healthier approach to eating that evolves as we grow into our new way of life. This way the changes stick and stay with us versus a going off the diet scenario.
We will be building this program based on the strength of community. We all have something we would like to change for the better. We are not alone. We have a fitness community at Motivated Fitness that welcomes all and encourages all. Our “Weight Loss for Life” program will be another community where we will work, struggle, learn, and succeed together.
Weight Loss for Life:
We are very excited to have this program and we believe it will help you live the life you have been meant to live. We are asking all participants to read “The Power of Habit,” by Charles Duhigg to get us all on the same page as far as changing our behaviors to serve us positively towards our goals. The goal of the book, and this program is to break bad habits, and replace them with good, healthy habits. Also we are recommending that you have a heart rate monitor of some sort as well as a food scale.
