4 Week Program
With each and every New Year, comes cliche resolutions that hold no gumption when it comes to reality. Let's change that up this year! Join us at Motivated Fitness to start this year off on the right foot! We've got some exciting stuff this coming month including this 3 day a week bootcamp, Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00am and Saturdays at 10:00am. Theses three workouts a week will give you the base to get yourself into the best shape of your life!
We are very, very, very excited about the looming delivery of our BRAND NEW Spin Bikes! Imagine, the feeling when you were a kid and you got the exact present you wanted under that Christmas tree... That's exactly how Big Tom feels with these new spin bikes coming our way! These bikes are AWESOME! Each one has it's own computer that tells you your own resistance, Revolutions per Minute (RPMs), Power, distance traveled, and even heart rate if you have a heart rate monitor on! This is sure to pump up your work load in our Spin Classes. If you're a non-member, act fast (BEFORE THE NEW YEAR) to buy one of our 10 class punch cards for just $75. Just Seven Weeks Until 2016...
The new year will be here before we know it. As ideal as it would be to lean up for the holiday season, let's face it, for most of us it's just not realistic. With holiday parties right around the corner, and the God forsaken cold and snow trying to keep us indoors, we are bound to pack on a few unwanted pounds. On the bright side, there's a workout regiment that can help us gain the RIGHT kind of weight! We wrote it up, you join us and let's change the body image of ol' Santa Clause from a jolly, hefty old fella to a ripped-up present giver!
As a group we have been focusing primarily on sharing our endurance, or toning, style lifts to our loyal followers. The Endurance phase is a great phase to be in for shedding pounds and gaining long lean muscles. But like any fitness routine it is important to incorporate change so as not to become stagnant. That is why for the next 7 weeks, leading up to January, we will be moving towards a hypertrophy, or gaining muscle mass, lifting phase.
For this workout we will have three lifts per week with three cardio activities per week. This does not necessarily mean that we will have to work out 6 separate times per week. What it means is that you can mix one lift with one cardio activity on one specific day. That way we can get a full weeks workouts into as few as three days, or as many as 6 days, depending on how many times you can get into the gym on each given week.
Not a member but you still want in on the fun? Fine by us! For just $80 We will give you access to our gym for the rest of the year as well as access to this awesome workout program! Let us know ASAP if you'd like to join us as our workouts start on Monday. We will hold each other accountable and use each other as motivation to make this holiday season the year of the beasts, not the year of the feasts... or maybe a little bit of both!
If you haven't tried out some of our new classes yet, we don't even want you to! That's how awesome they've been! (Just kidding tho, you should definitely try them out...)
Our Spin classes are ALWAYS one hour...we aren't about to charge you an arm and a leg for a 45 minute workout like some of those other, new and "hip" places. What we will do is give you a full length spin class and a great workout for TEN BUCKS!! Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30pm, and Saturday at 8:30am with Thomas; Thursday mornings at 6:00am with Tom, and Thursday nights at 6:30pm with Christine!
Our Tuesday's are, by far, our busiest days for classes! Tom's Tuesday 6:00am Heated Yoga Sculpt is always packed with energy! It consists of A high in tensity mixture of yoga and strength training; All of which done in a heated room to get deeper into each stretch and increase your anaerobic capacity! Dani's Wednesday night (6:45pm) heated Yoga Sculpt is a slightly different variation, but same great workout!
John's Tuesday 5:30pm "Total Body Mash-Up" has been packed as well! His is A workout that hits all areas of the body using steps, bars, dumb bells, resistance bands and more.
And "Zen-Boxing" has been all we hoped it would be...and MORE! This class, instructed by Tom and Thomas together, is split between a half hour of straight mitt work (with core and cardio mixed in), and a half hour of vinyasa flow yoga to tie the body back together. Try it once, and you'll find yourself a regular at Zen-Boxing!
Our Vinyasa Flow Yoga Classes are Monday nights at 6:30 with Marisa, and Friday mornings at 6:00am (heated) with Leslie!
Marisa's weekly class is A smooth flowing journey of movements, poses and positions; This stimulating and relaxing class is topped off with a welcomed meditation to ease away all your stress that was sure to build up throughout your Monday at Work!
Leslie's Friday morning 6:00am Heated Yoga Flow is one of our most popular classes, and for good reason! This variation of a smooth flowing yoga class includes a heated room to get deeper into each position and get the full effect of the purpose of the class. This class has proved to be a successful way to start the day, and weekend for that matter, for all parties involved!
Sara's has been a staple to our Thursday night class schedule since Motivated Fitness has been Motivated Fitness (practically). The reason she's so consistent is because her methods are proven! Shape, tone, and define your body by utilizing free weights, steps, medicine balls, and resistance bands to work every muscle in your body. This is a straight up strength training class with close attention paid to form and technique. Also on Thursday night, as we mentioned earlier, Christine is teaching a new and energetic Spin class at 6:30, where the only thing more upbeat than her, is her music!
S-A-T U R-D A Y Workouts!!!
Just because the work week is over, it doesn't mean the gym just disappears. We are open 7 days a week people! AND There's 2 great classes on Saturdays: 8:30am Spin and 10:00am Bootcamp-Blast (Both taught by Thomas)! The Bootcamp is an awesome mix between Spin, Strength, Boxing, and Core! Try it once and you will be hooked! The hour will fly by and you will be ready to tackle the rest of your Saturday and your weekend!

John's Tuesday "Total Body Mash-Up" will totally mash you up...in a good way! This cardio based work out will consist primarily of different variations of Spinning workouts and Strength workouts! The class typically begins off of the bikes, where John will lead the group with some cardio-based strengthening exercises. Then the group jumps on the bikes for a series of hills that will be sure to toast the legs for just long enough that we're ready for some more strength! That means its time for a good head-to-toe lift with some core mixed in! Then, you guessed it, back on the bikes to finish with some fast and furious sprints!

Seriously this mix-up will keep you guessing right up until the hour is over! Come down and try it out! Just $10 for non-members to drop-in for a class!
Starting next Monday, October 5th, we will be incorporating a slightly new class schedule! We are keeping a majority of our classes the same but mixing in a few new and exciting classes that we will highlight for you throughout this week! Including a "Zen Boxing Class," a few Total Body Circuit Classes, and a Saturday Morning Bootcamp Blast just to name a few!
Stay tuned, because descriptions of these new classes will be coming at you soon and remember, it's only $10 to drop in for a class even if you are NOT a member! Or it's just $60 per month for access to unlimited classes for the month!

This winter has been a sure-fire test of resiliency. It felt like it took forever for us to get our first snowfall, but when the first inch came so did the 97th inch.... 97 inches?!? I'm no mathematician but that is just too many inches!!!
As has been the theme around the gym this winter tho, we've decided to make the best of the situation that we are in. We've tried our best to stay open as much as we could and have been happy to accommodate all you motivated people to trudge through the snow to get those workouts in! So, as trying as it has been shoveling snow piles into bigger snow piles, we are glad to see how positive the atmosphere has remained within the realm of Motivated Fitness! After all, if the weather is your biggest problem right now, count your blessings that you don't have any real problems!
Just 31 days until the first day of Spring! So get yourself a workout today! Weather you get into the gym or not, make it a point to take some time for yourself; Do 100 Pushups! Do 100 Squats! Do 500 Situps! Do SOMETHING! We are here if you need more motivation! Have a great day and a productive week everyone!

The last few weeks (with no end in sight) have been tough on all of us gym-goers due to the massive amounts of Snow and frigid weather. But let's get back into the swing of things and get back to that regiment that we promised ourselves in the New Year.
