New Year's Resolutions are as commercially motivated and as random as Valentine's Day. Think about it; how arbitrary is it that on the 14th of February each and every year we are forced to stop by Rite Aid on the way home from work to grab two dollars and fifty cents of Hallmark wisdom and a batch of flowers for our significant others? It's just as arbitrary as New Year's resolutions! Why is January 1st the date to start a new fitness trend and not January 12th, or March 13th, or any other date for that matter?!
So if mid-way through January you are disgruntled with the fact that you haven't lost the weight you set out to lose or you already ruined your "Booze-free January," SO WHAT!
Starting a new workout or lifestyle routine on January 12th is no different than starting one on January 1st! Just like buying your significant other flowers or chocolates on a day that is not Valentine's Day is just as appreciated (if not more)! So take the initiative today to get back on the right track or set some new and acquirable goals to focus on.
