Join our FREE Self-Defense Workshop on Saturday September 7th at 11:00am. Thanks to the generous sponsorship from the board of the Coyne-Adams Memorial Fund, this empowering workshop is absolutely FREE to all the women of our neighborhood.
We've done many of these workshops in the past and we have had so many positive responses from our community. It is important for us to take a step back and realize that we first need to always be aware of our surroundings. That's where we start with each of these workshops; we first go over the importance of never being lost in your phone or headphones when your out in public. We stress the importance of trusting one's own intuition; if something doesn't feel right, then usually it's not, so try and get away from that situation. We stress the importance of even just "walking with a purpose" to deter any negative attention from potential dirt bags. Of course these things alone may not be able to help every situation and we know that, but every little bit helps and we just want all of our friends and loved ones to avoid any of these types of horrible situations whenever possible.
After all of these types of social queues and tips we get into the fundamentals of striking and Self-Defense. We don't claim that our knowledge is expert level, or that these skills could get you into the ring with professional fighters, but all we want to do is provide you with the knowledge and confidence to at the very least defend yourself.
